I modded a couple of other sites for a while. Too many headaches doing it to want to do it again. Your volunteer group doesn't have trolls (hopefully). That makes a big difference.
The Facebook page is easy, I might post on there once or twice a month. I'm president of a small group of volunteers at Sweetwater Creek State Park west of Atlanta. We are having our monthly meeting this Saturday, i usually invite people to that and then post a photo of our monthly service project. We put together three picnic tables last month and built this trailhead arch I designed the month before.
