Are there any edge cases where it wouldn't satisfy weingarten? Hypothetically if the steward was produced over a company phone line which is recorded so the steward and member aren't able to privately caucus?
Not that I know of and in any of those cases, I would simply tell the grievant to stay silent until I could call himor her privately or meet with them privately.
Most of the time discipline or even terminations are going to happen regardless of what happens in that office and a grievance have to be filed.
They have waited for me to return to the building to do discipline on serious matters.
