I don't believe this first bit.Anecdotally, I've bought quite a few products from Bestbuy, and their tracking has always been decent.I think they said the actual reason just after.
Barry highlighted FedEx’s Sunday delivery capabilities as an advantage, allowing the electronics retailer to get products to customers faster. Best Buy also expects an improved customer experience and lower costs due to “increased integration” with the carrier.

What do y'all think?Did UPS get beat out on technology? Or is this just about the money?

It's always about money.

Why pay more for service that isn't any better?

I have seen a Bestbuy package in .y UPS package car in a long time.

Article suggests it's more about the Sunday delivery option rather than just cost. While we all hope as workers that UPS never adds Sunday, we are absolutely losing business as ALL the other carriers deliver on Sunday.

Weekend delivery is a money losing proposition.

And UPS advances too much of Mondays work to Saturday
It makes Mondays very unproductive.

Think of all the miles UPS and other carriers add by delivering 5 days of work in 6 or 7 days covering all the same area with less stop density.

Definitely about money and Rodie is going to get most of that work anyway.

Best Buy is a failing big box store. Their days are numbered and UPS definitely was not interested in having these giant TVs on package cars anymore.
