Yeah found it on a walk next to a garbage can. was gonna bring it back but figured I’d leave it in case some one left it there to pick back up when they were finished with their hike. Next day it was still there so instead of getting thrown away I grabbed it

The reason for reading the New Testament before the Old Testament is because it’s better to read the Bible from back to front. Not from Revelation, then each book backward. But to just get grounded in understanding Jesus and His purpose. Because ultimately, the entire Bible is about Jesus. Some people have called the Old Testament “God’s will concealed,” and the New Testament “God’s will revealed.” Maybe a bit of an oversimplification, but not far off. Therefore, reading the concealed under the light of what has been revealed is of the greatest benefit.

This is a great first step, and when you get past the part of just reading it and incorporating it in your life you will see real change and have understanding and a peace that passes all understand understanding.🙏

I feel like I’m missing context on this conversation. But Jesus most assuredly meant that very same day when speaking to the thief.

The context is Christ defeated death. That does not mean we do not have to still go through it. It just means it’s not the end.
