Your Driver Helper is ready!
I couldn't stand Helpers. They used to be good when I started in the 80's. I would get some college kid home from the Thanksgiving to Christmas holidays. At least they were dependable and could hustle. Then they started hiring very old people and felons. One Helper told me he was planning on looting certain jewelry stores when the next riot broke out. I had one that worked as a stripper in a club, a no show for Christmas Eve. It got to where I told them they would get a tip from me after finishing Christmas Eve, it was the only way to get one to show up.

I actually had a really good run of helpers of the years when I was in package. I was very fortunate
I only remember two really good helpers.
One guy just out of the Air Force, great guy in great shape ready to work.
One young girl who lived on my route, great girl in great shape ready to work! Her Mom made us both lunch every day.
I was both lucky and unlucky my last 8 years in package. I was always the first in my center to get a helper which was good and bad. I got a lot of choices if the first one sucked I said get another. Bad thing was I had a helper from Thanksgiving through peak.
