I’ve been saying for a long time. I’d rather have more credit time added to my pension after going over 9.5 then getting four times Pay. That would allow people to retire earlier.

Pay for all hours worked not 40 hours
It’s been done twice already. It’s called “window pensions”. In 2018, then again in 2023. The union agreed. If I heard correctly, both had to be voted on by members. But only those who were eligible received the separate ballots required. Both were after the national and supplements were concluded.
I would imagine the clowns in Atlanta would prefer that we had another round of window pensions. Especially since, as I said earlier, UPS is about to be on the hook for millions of dollars from lawsuits. A drop in the bucket in their eyes. But we all know how they will react even so.
UPS may not be the only one's on the hook for lawsuits. Yes it's their plane, but who else is or is not responsble has yet to be determined. Mfg of said aircraft? Mechanics who worked on it? I bet there's a long list of people tied to that plane and it's maintenance which is likely going to be a factor in the cause.

To avoid prolonged negative press, UPS will likely settle out of court and their insurance will pay out. The millions I mentioned will all be for insurance deductibles, PR Crisis firms, and legal fees involved with expediting it all.

Negative press is going to depend how it all plays out. Did they outsource mechanic work? Was it done by union employees or not? Etc.,etc.... UPS does do their best to hide things, I remember back in the day they would come to an accident scene and paint over the shield.

Doesn't matter as long as it was cleared to fly by the mfg and or maintenance people. That plane was obviously cleared for service otherwise it wouldn't be in service. Someone missed something somewhere or hopefully didn't fudge something. Here is an example of someone screwing up.
