You’re probably right, and I’ve seen dem candidates are starting to come out against some of the particular trans craziness (Twitter left is having an absolute melt down over it - apparently not being allowed to play in competive sports is akin to genocide) so that will help with lots of the moderates
They’ll only do that until the midterms. If they win in November and then again in 2028 they’ll be right back to full steam ahead with the trans insanity. Because they won’t be willing to say no to their own side on it, for whom it’s a religion-level thing, if an election isn’t immediately at stake.

This attitude of talking so much shit all throughout the years, but once it comes back to you in the tiniest way, now putting your fingers in your ears going “la la la I can’t hear you” and denying and defending and pretending everything is fine, only hurts in the long run

The number of people who actually are willing to change their minds because of a message board are very small.
Compromise typically means conceding ground. And then the other side will refuse to do the same.
So it’s hard to give concessions when you know it’s just an attempt by many (not saying you) to weaken the resolve of one side.

I'm just saying that some people see compromise as the first step to losing, so they'll dig in with everything they've got.
It's a problem with a lot of people, not just on any one side.
I'd imagine it's pretty hard to be a card carrying Republican walking into November right about now. There's a solid chance this goes very poorly for them.
