It still cracks me up that @unionstrong thinks he blocked me because he believes I am a democrat/liberal, which makes me a defacto communist while using terms like TDS (although I truly do hate Trump with all my being).

Reality is that he hasn't blocked me at all, instead he blocked himself from me.

What a moron.

Trump worshippers had it all just last year. And now we're witnessing the administration's self-destruction. Maybe he just needs a safe space where he can suck his thumb and not hear from us about how things are going for a while.

I think the self-destruction thing you’re talking about is a little overrated and overblown. The economy is doing quite well for quite a few people. Myself included my investments, have never made more money than they have in the last two years and it’s not even close. It’s actually mind blowing. Yes inflation is high. Yes, I think he’s made a bunch of bungels and mistakes. But I think inflation would’ve been high, no matter who was president and every administration disappoints me. This one included. there isn’t an administration we could’ve voted for that thinks about fiscal responsibility. Every single one of them want to spend us into oblivion.

1. US economy growing

The overall US economy is growing at a respectable clip by the country's recent historic standards.

The latest data shows US GDP - which is how economists measure the size of the US economy - currently expanding at an annualised rate of 2.2%.

And it has increased by around 3.2% overall since the end of 2024, just before Trump took office for his second term.

That is more growth than any other member of the G7 group of leading economies over that period.

He’s a deranged leftist. Anyone that disagrees with him is worshipper. He’s not as smart as he thinks. Sad and pathetic.

Don’t know about deranged, but I do know he’s a true believer in government. Even though it has let him down at every time.. He still continues to think, voting in one way or the other will fix problems or perceived problems around the country.

Every new administration has an agenda and citizens who do not protect themselves from bad policies of that administrations and position themselves to capitalize on the good policies of that administrations is a fool.

Hell, even during the depression era billionaires were made because they were prepared to capitalize. While others complained and waiting for the government to fix it.

Well, alright. We can revisit this after the midterms and see how it compares to previous midterms.

“Senate Republicans are weighing three last-ditch spending moves that would have been unimaginable six months ago: a cash infusion for Mississippi and even more money for South Carolina and Kansas.

It's been 94 years since Kansas elected a Democratic senator, 44 years for Mississippi and 28 for South Carolina. But panic is spreading through the Republican Party.

"The wall has broken. The enemy is inside the fort," one national Republican political operative told Axios. "We are now fighting hand to hand."

The Senate map, which once looked impregnable for Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.), is now full of vulnerabilities.

Democratic challengers are polling within the margin of error in more than half a dozen deep-red states, according to internal GOP polls."

Midterms are very rarely good for the incumbent party in charge. What’s your point? I think I was pointing out that you and people like you are irrational and think the next group we’re going to fix your problems. In two years, you will be just as disappointed, rinse and repeat. 🤷‍♂️

My point is that I think I'm actually not overstating the Trump self-destruction thing. And sure, midterms are rarely good for the incumbent party. That's why I said "We can revisit this after the midterms and see how it compares to previous midterms."

The proof that I was right or wrong will be right in front of our eyes.

And I don't think government can fix all of our problems. I've never even gotten close to suggesting that it can. As I've said repeatedly, our biggest problems right now are due to bad choices that Trump has made: getting us stuck in the Iran debacle, and the pursuit of his shitty tariffs and trade wars. I don't think it's unrealistic to assume that the incoming Democrats won't be into doing those things. In that specific way I think they actually can fix problems. Is that an irrational take?

Mississippi? Lol he’s lost his mind.

Yep, that most likely Pie in the Sky poll manipulation by Democrats. I highly doubt it’s anywhere near that close in Mississippi. But my point still stands.

Is it irrational to think the Democrats will do something different? No, is it irrational to think they will do something better? Yes. Were you happy with their performance two years ago? Not against you voteing for Democrats. I think it’s great that we’ll have gridlock. Giving power to one party usually makes the party in control Go crazy and do stupid things.
