Those guys actually stand behind their beliefs too, even when it means defending someone with differing political opinions than theres
I asked militiamen who attended Monday’s Second Amendment rally armed in Richmond, Virginia how they feel about the shooting of Alex Pretti yesterday in Minneapolis by federal agents and the administration’s response.
So I guess the question I have now is, are Trump DHS defenders done with the Second Amendment or do they just only want the Second Amendment for themselves?
Minnesota’s carry law statute says, “The holder of a permit to carry must have the permit card and a driver’s license, state identification card, or other government-issued photo identification in immediate possession at all times when carrying a pistol and must display the permit card and identification document upon lawful demand by a peace officer, as defined in section 626.84, subdivision 1. ” Pretti had no ids on him. So , yes he was breaking the established law of Minn about carrying a permitted pistol.

“Normally that’d just be a $25 fine buuuut…..we’re in crazy times. Get down on your knees”. [points gun at your back and prepares to fire after you’ve been disarmed].

Well, I’ll say this, the pistol he was carrying was not exactly a good choice for concealed carry, it was definitely a combat type of weapon. Minor point, but as someone who has carried for decades, it would not have been my choice. More importantly, if I planned on wrestling with federal agents in these “crazy times”, I don’t think I would have brought a firearm period. And make no mistake, he went there to be confrontational. Under those circumstances you take your life in your own hands. Play stupid games…

Odd how ICE isn't having any problems in the states that cooperate with them.

If you’re going to mess with armed, sworn officers, you should be prepared for the consequences. The biggest thing was he didn’t even have to be there.

He went there with the intention of provoking a confrontation
Keith Ellison is an incompetent, political hack that doesn’t even know the law. Typical Democrat that cherry picks what parts of a law he chooses to enforce or quote.
Why would Kash feel the need to make up excuses about extra magazines if Pretti was obstructing or being combative? Wouldn't that be enough on its own?
Carrying an extra magazine implies nothing.
Holsters designed to carry spare magazines are common and widely sold. Training resources and guides across the internet actively recommend it. Thousands of law-abiding Americans do this every day. This is standard, not overkill.… https://t.co/XkhTf6feWd

The fact is, he went there armed, with the intention of being confrontational. It’s not a 2nd amendment issue, it’s a stupid bastard issue. Would you do that, not just carry concealed and observe the protest, but obstruct and impede police while carrying a full sized service weapon? He put himself in harms way, intentionally. Sad, but he was a delusional social justice warrior, just like that dumb ass in the SUV.
