Especially the countries we rebuilt after the war, ones that got billions in low interest loans, ones that had almost no tariffs from us in order to increase their exports and profits to aid them in their rebuilding. Ones that enjoyed free military protection from us for decades while they pumped money into social programs that benefited their own people. You’re good with that? Fair trade, fair and balanced tariffs are necessary.
