We can’t keep cutting corporate taxes while not cutting government spending or working class taxes…
especially with all the layoffs going on right now and ai taking over the last thing I’m worried about is giant rich corporations paying in less taxes. We’ve already been shown they don’t lower the prices for us when they receive these cuts

Even more bad news for Republicans in the upcoming elections if true.

What layoffs? Job growth actually grew in January. UPS is shrinking, but that only represents a minuscule portion of the job market. The party is over at UPS.

What layoffs are you talking about?

U.S. employers announced ~108,435 layoffs in January 2026 — the highest total for any January since 2009 (Great Recession era), an ~118% increase from January 2025 and over 205% above December 2025.

Amazon axes 16,000 jobs as it pushes AI and efficiency
we shouldn’t be rewarding companies like Amazon, they don’t give a shit about American workers and they don’t pass the savings down, whether in prices or wage increases

How do you explain the January job numbers
How do you explain the January job numbers
No idea, maybe AI? All I know is they got tax cuts last time and they rose prices on us, I just want less gov spending and cuts for working class. I hate seeing Zuckerberg and bezos on their mega yachts flying partying it up buying islands while they pay a smaller tax % than their workers you know?
And people blame our contract for ups cuts but Amazon and fed ex are cutting too. I just hate these greedy giant corporations. Amazon trucks driving around tearing up our roads and they’re not paying taxes meanwhile property taxes going up for us it’s bs

Intel, Meta, Pinterest, Microsoft, and HP, to name a few.
The tech world is going after their "middle class" guys hardcore.
I know my sister's worried, and she works for IBM.

Fuck em. You wanted AI

Not really relevant.
It's like cutting routes.
You know how many routes your center needed to get the job done.
And management would consistently run fewer routes than that.
It's the same here.
I'm sure the AI bit isn't helping, but it's shareholder driven short term mindsets that cannibalize companies to make the next quarter's numbers.

What are you doing about it?
What are you doing about it?
I'm one of a very few people doing something about it.
I left UPS and started my own company so that I can create long term value and provide value to the world without constantly trying to beat last quarters numbers by cutting service.
Also, your post is effectively a Tu Quoque fallacy.
