Love or hate him. He definitely does have some good zingers! This one makes me chuckle.

It’s always curious to me that the atheist and non-Christians and non-Catholics are more concerned about these things than the actual Christians and Catholics

Almost like they’re trying to use it politically.

We just like to see a little consistency in the practicing of what’s preached if religious values are emphasized in a politician’s campaigning and publicly expressed views.

The guy is funny as fuck you can’t deny it lol, he also has a certain charm to him that’s hard to explain

I wouldn’t say there’s much if anything I can say I love about him at this point but he is for sure funny and witty and a damn good salesman lol

Very well said. Especially so when they’re using it to justify their goals of war. Something particularly gross about that. But that’s certainly not new for presidents

The current maniacs running Iran must go.

As intelligent as you are, you would think you had read the Bible or at least understood. The whole point of the book is to show that most Christians and Jews rarely ever practiced what they preached.

And the craziest thing is we can still be Christians and and even forgiveneven have a decent shot of getting into heaven

An atheist won’t have that option

I’ll give you a little tip any politician that mixes politics and religion all you get is politics.

So you can stop looking for that stuff you’re looking for.

I look at people like you and some of the others on here as “true” Christians. I believe you and I believe you truly believe and I believe you have good intentions and wants and don’t think you have nefarious or hateful intentions with your beliefs and faith

I don’t feel that way with a lot of politicians or military leaders or even church leaders though, and I think there’s an extra layer of grossness and evilness when they use religion to justify their political goals and war, especially when there’s clearly other “unholy” intentions behind their goals, if that makes sense

When they start saying that stuff, I mostly ignore them.

Donald Trump was asked one time if you ever repented to Jesus, he said he didn’t need to. He’s never done anything wrong.

Lol clearly he has absolutely no idea what being a Christian is. He just denied one of the most important tenants of Christianity.

Now anyone who’s butt hurt by something he says that isn’t “Christian” really needs to be a little smarter about it.

Genuine question, is there any responsibility felt or needed by Christians to do more than ignore things like that when it’s coming from leaders of a country that are using Christianity for their own goals? And when our tax dollars are funding it, not that we have much choice, but they do represent us. But Especially when they make claims like we’re a “Christian nation”, does it get to a point where then leaders are doing harm to the religion by ignoring, or actively doing the opposite of what is taught while hiding behind the Christianity veil?

Hope that makes sense, kinda hard to explain in text

But is there anything the Bible says about that? I suppose the only thing I know of is the opposite regarding “he who cast the first stone” and what not, but they also talk about blasphemy, or is that not really for man to “punish” over?

I think what @boxox was getting at regarding politics and consistency is like politicians love to talk about religions and sins and work it in to their legislation, but then also kind of completley ignoring other aspects or even doing the exact opposite of what the Bible called for. Like it kind of just got glossed over but we bombed an elementary school. Just straight up murdered children, if that hypothetically kept up and kept getting repeated, and was being done again and again by leaders of our country doing it falsely in the name of Christianity, is there an obligation to speak up and try to stop it at some point in gods eyes or is that more a matter between the people calling the shots and God?

The responsibility would be to ask for forgiveness, just like all of us which apparently Donald Trump doesn’t think he needs to. Last I checked the only person who ever walked the face of the Earth that didn’t need to was put on a cross. And even through all this Donald still has a chance to make it right.

His biggest problem is his wealth. The Bible says it’s easier for a camel to pass through an eye of the needle then for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. It’s not merely because he’s richest because rich people think they are God.they’ve never had to lean on God for anything in their opinion.

Other than that, like, I said, if you read the Bible, it’s filled with guys who were ordained by God, even sent by God, who were kind of turds. David saw a naked woman outside his window and had her husband killed in battle so he could sleep with her.

Sampson was ordained by God and sent to free Israel from the philistine’s, but he couldn’t even keep his penis out of Philistine women.

And all of these guys were used by God there’s tons more just like it. Human beings are flawed. Looking into them for meaning and religion is proof that you’re looking at the wrong thing.

Look to Jesus only.

Look to Jesus only.

One part that I read so far is where Jesus said something along the lines of “get away from me I never knew you”, those people you mentioned that god sent or ordained, do you think it’s still possible they didn’t go to heaven? Growing up I always got the impression just believing in Jesus was the only thing thing to allow you in, but that quote from Jesus I just read recently made me rethink if that’s not true

I have to admit one part I just can’t like or get behind yet is when you said earlier about atheists not having the option of getting to heaven. I really hate the idea of objectively bad people getting into heaven while good ones don’t

Whether or not they went to heaven is not something I can judge.

In regards to whether or not atheist go to heaven, where does it say in the Bible to get to heaven, you have to be a good person? Clearly, the Bible shows they were all kinds of people who are not good who are used by God.

Your righteousness and your goodness is like filthy rags to him. There is no such thing as good.. and those who do not confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, according to the Bible, don’t go to heaven. And why would they want to? They don’t believe in it. Seems like it would be cruel and unusual punishment to send an atheist to heaven who doesn’t want to have any relationship with Jesus at all.

That’s why I said atheist. Don’t have that option because as long as you’re a professed atheist you have denied Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I didn’t make the rules.

And for the record, the devil believes inJesus, just believing in him doesn’t mean much, confessing. He’s your Lord and Savior is the key.

Quite the 180

State and local prosecutors in Minnesota charged an ICE officer Thursday with two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

The criminal charges appear to be the first against a federal immigration officer for actions allegedly taken while on duty during the immigration enforcement crackdown in Minnesota earlier this year.

"Today's charges reflect an important milestone in our efforts to seek accountability for the harms inflicted on our community during Operation Metro Surge," Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said at a press conference on Thursday announcing the charges.

Do we really believe that could become a real thing? That we’ll shift into a Star Trek type economy for everyone?

Considering one day he’s posting about the evils of wealth tax and the next talking about how everyone will be rich and have unlimited money from the federal government, I personally do not believe him right now lol. Would be sweet though

I’m still waiting for my tariff refund and doge checks I’m not gonna hold my breath for the universal high income lol

Sounds like Trump's IRS might be willing to settle in Trump's $10 billion lawsuit against it. Any guesses as to how much we'll owe him?

Are they not liable? Seems to me they are.
