You’re probably right, and I’ve seen dem candidates are starting to come out against some of the particular trans craziness (Twitter left is having an absolute melt down over it - apparently not being allowed to play in competive sports is akin to genocide) so that will help with lots of the moderates
They’ll only do that until the midterms. If they win in November and then again in 2028 they’ll be right back to full steam ahead with the trans insanity. Because they won’t be willing to say no to their own side on it, for whom it’s a religion-level thing, if an election isn’t immediately at stake.
