$1.5 TRILLION dollars. After just giving them almost a trillion dollars this year.
we need to get our budget under control and stop spending so much of our tax money on interest

I think we're gearing up for a potential war with China over Taiwan.

The Chinese are probably not happy about losing their oil supply from Venezuela. Iran is next. That’s 70 percent of their oil imports between those 2. What are they using to invade Taiwan with? Checkmate

We'd probably also close the Strait of Malacca to their energy imports if we went to war.

"The Malacca dilemma is a strategic vulnerability for the People's Republic of China due to its heavy reliance on the strait of Malacca, a critical maritime choke point connecting the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea. This narrow strait accommodates over 60,000 vessels annually, representing roughly 25% of global maritime trade, including approximately 80% of China's imported crude oil. "

What keeps nagging at me is the uncomfortable fact that we embargoed oil against Japan too, and look what happened. History repeats itself.

Yep. And China might try to surprise attack with missiles on Guam, etc when it's go time.
It's also important that we keep China from being able to block off the Panama Canal so our navy ships can't quickly get to the Pacific or hit our gulf oil infrastructure from places like Cuba or Venezuela.

I heard they refused to leave the canal. Even after Panama told them to.

I wouldn’t put anything past them.

Smart people and they'll probably go straight for the nut punches when it's time.

Not a fan when we don't have the money.
We decreased the deficit by 2.8% last fiscal year, but this alone would kick it up by almost 28% higher, if my math is correct.
My kingdom for a fiscal conservative.

It’s amazing more people weren’t killed on Jan 6
If you start at 4 minutes it shows how intense it got between the police and protestors
Perhaps, but they shot the one person who was probably the least violent and the least imposing. And then they proceeded to cheer it. Today they act like the exact opposite because they’re political cause is all they care about, not the lives.

Compromise.
We steal half a trillion in oil from Venezuela, and you guys can have a quarter trillion for defense spending.
Deal?

That money is going back the oil companies that got fucked when Chavez nationalized the companies. He stole everything from them.
Roughly 1% of the deficit.
I won't say it's nothing, but I agree it's not much.

Also fuck China.
I don't want us to be interventionists in general, but couldn't happen to nicer people.

It’s not for deficit reduction. SMH

I am fully aware.
The twitter post was using government run time to measure the value of it.
I was using the deficit.
I was trying to make it look bigger.
