I wouldn’t disagree necessarily.

But if you play poker against a guy that knows what you’re holding, I think we both know how that game ends.

Yeah, with us taking a baseball bat to their knees later. Ask @unionstrong how that works lol. 😉

Solidarność

No one else would know the connection. 🫡

Labor charges. Fixes things real quick.

They can only squeeze that by weak locals and Union stewards. When it is grieved and brought before a panel or a labor board if necessary it crumbles. They made the agreement sometimes you have to stick their nose in it and force them to follow it.

Get off the Union tip already Geezus! They've been bending you guys over for a while now. How's that a/c working out for you? I know the drivers here are loving it in the 110 degree heat index.

Oh wait....

But many of those Union employees weren’t around years ago when this company was like the military. Over the last 15 years or so they’ve gotten pretty lackadaisical.

Things ran better then !

😂

Once they lost the 2 cases on beards.... things went to hell.

I hope I never get air-conditioning. Can you imagine how fat I’ll be if I do?

Somewhat. But many of those Union employees weren’t around years ago when this company was like the military. Over the last 15 years or so they’ve gotten pretty lackadaisical. The difference now is this group of Union members is easily frightened, unlike the guys who taught me.

If this was 1997 we walked out the front doors with the international Union that was completely broke and the promise of measly $55 in two weeks that we ended up paying Union dues on.

Now everyone’s gonna get $1000 and their benefits paid if we have to walk out. I don’t think the Union has lost its teeth as much as . I think the membership has gotten soft.

The company has done a great job of dividing us and conquering us.

The Union lost its “teeth” because the next generation is soft. The company lost its cache by lowering grooming standards. That opened the door for guys to look like hobos. Then the company lowered service standards. It’s gonna be like FedEx ground in 10 years or less. This generation can say anything they want about us retired teamsters, but we weren’t frightened easily, quite the opposite in fact. They were lucky it was a short strike.

My friend is absolutely gleeful.

And they want tons of volunteers for Monday. Lol. Like that's gonna happen.

There is still time for them to tell all the 0323s their workweek schedule is m-f next week. At least here they only have to give 48 hours notice.

Last I read, the company met the contractual obligation for the year ?

Or, it was full-time jobs. WTF do I know ?

I’m retired @gumby

Just like a feeder driver. Regardless, if you think the Union is one up on UPS these days I got a nice piece of property in the Everglades cheap.

How do you think I get all that cash?

The good thing is the international union doesn’t need to be one up. The members just have to have determination and solidarity when the time comes. in 1997 I can guarantee you it wasn’t the international that won that strike. It was the members.

Yea they may be up to obligations on the a/c thing....I'm sure those guys in Montana are really enjoying it for the two months out of then year they'll use it. Let's talk to the guys here where the heat index is 100+(lets not even talk about humidity)how they are liking it. I was never a big fan of the a/c thing, but it was sold to the Union and they bought in hook line and sinker.

The company met the air-conditioning obligation this year…. Just barely.

We wanted to use some language from the article 11 mou that sob signed at contract ratification to say it had to be 10 days notice but one of the BAs called Johnny sawyer and he said it didn't apply.
