Militant fucks out there.

The Central Region.

The company met the air-conditioning obligation this year…. Just barely.

Supposed to be the hottest areas first. I don’t see any in Arizona, can’t get much hotter than that. Where are they sending them, UP of Michigan?

The Central Region.

Head crackers. Legendary.

Somewhat. But many of those Union employees weren’t around years ago when this company was like the military. Over the last 15 years or so they’ve gotten pretty lackadaisical. The difference now is this group of Union members is easily frightened, unlike the guys who taught me.

If this was 1997 we walked out the front doors with the international Union that was completely broke and the promise of measly $55 in two weeks that we ended up paying Union dues on.

Now everyone’s gonna get $1000 and their benefits paid if we have to walk out. I don’t think the Union has lost its teeth as much as . I think the membership has gotten soft.

The company has done a great job of dividing us and conquering us.

All this talk of $1000 a week and benefits paid for walking out on strike....I wouldn't hold my breath, I would hope that it would happen.....I'll believe it when it happens and I see it.

Was just up there. Got a picture of a UPS supervan on a ferry, but I don't know where the hell they were going with it.

If you’re saying you hope it won’t happen because we won’t go on strike. I agree with you.. it’s the last thing I would want to do.

But if it’s necessary, it’s a guarantee. They’ve already been doing that around the country with many other strikes.

But if you play poker against a guy that knows what you’re holding, I think we both know how that game ends.

Exactly.

Yeah, with us taking a baseball bat to their knees later. Ask @unionstrong how that works lol. 😉

Those days are long gone John Gotti

Relax, it’s a metaphor! 😉

Those days are long gone John Gotti

Perhaps

The Union lost its “teeth” because the next generation is soft. The company lost its cache by lowering grooming standards. That opened the door for guys to look like hobos. Then the company lowered service standards. It’s gonna be like FedEx ground in 10 years or less. This generation can say anything they want about us retired teamsters, but we weren’t frightened easily, quite the opposite in fact. They were lucky it was a short strike.

FedEx Ground in 10 years or less? Man they are already there and worse.

They won’t get paid like they do now. They’ll be independent assholes.

The good thing is the international union doesn’t need to be one up. The members just have to have determination and solidarity when the time comes. in 1997 I can guarantee you it wasn’t the international that won that strike. It was the members.

Yea and that won't happen today.

Exactly. I heard they have a few south of here, but no where near enough.

Didn't use to be.

I have no idea what you’re talking about! 🤞

That was always a tool in the toolbox. The Central set the example. New Englanders were just as miserable. 🤣
