The company gave the driver right before my dad a full center breakfast and a set of golf clubs.
Not a thing for my dad. I'm assuming the last year of 9.5s were considered payment enough. Lol.
The company asked me if I wanted the whole breakfast thing and where they review your career. I politely declined.
Walked in with 3 BA’s to turn in my uniforms, locker key, and ID. Got a nice plaque from the Local. Ask for a Teamster jacket !
One of our brothers that retired told the company yes to the breakfast but only so that all the other drivers could have breakfast and he didn’t even show up lol!
You would have gotten to see Bucky “fuckin” Dent dash their hopes.

Company brown-nose got the big send off and 2 days later got punked by a veteran who hated them.
It was hilarious.

Reggie’s home run turned out to be the game winner, but Dent’s home run was a knife to the heart. Fenway went as silent as a funeral parlor. Pinella pretending to see the ball kept Burleson from getting to third, he would have scored on the fly ball. Baseball was great back then. It sucks today.
