The newer package cars suck. The mirrors stick out really far.
Knew drivers (non-bid) that carried a couple box end wrenches to adjust them, cause they were always in different trucks.
I had to drive by the shop everyday leaving the building, so I would just stop and have a mechanic help me adjust them.
You could always tell when a burner was running your route when you got back from vacation. Some of those guys would loosen
the mirror bracket up so it was easier to fold in. I rarely tucked in a mirror. Properly adjusted.... they only stick out like 8 inches.

I don’t know how you lasted as long as you did delivering those old, old, old.... areas.
Just looking around here.... climbing all those steps and hills ? For the most part, my route was flat as a pancake.

But I had a ton of good people on my route, that was a huge help.
