Had a friend that was an electrician at the local Anheuser Busch brewery. Teamster.
Bought a place and had 5 acres of grass to cut. Got a $10,000 John Deere tractor with all the stuff. (1987 ?)
His co-workers were giving him shit.... cause it was like a car payment.
His rational was.... he could cut all that in 2 hours. Or, sit on a 12hp lawn tractor for 2 days.
He had a front loader, backhoe, and all the cool stuff. He was a cool dude. And a 69 Camaro he got at age 16.
