Most of the jobs lost is in public education. Counties are consolidating schools and parents who can afford it are putting their kids in private schools. My biggest regret as a parent was not putting my two sons in private school. One of them was bullied bad for all twelve years.

I have precious little in stocks at the moment.
The phrase "The market can remain irrational longer than you can stay solvent" springs to mind.

With any college degree you only need a couple more classes to get a teachers certificate.

We send our kids away for eight hours a day to be with people who we don’t agree with who are teaching them things that we disagree with. They spend more time with those people than they do with their parents.
Would you drop your kid off at school if it was on fire? Maybe wait for the next city council meeting to complain about it while being also told to shut up and sit down?
