Seriously im not counting on anything but recently I talked to the president of my local.
Many grievances was filed over this issue
As he listened to all of the other grievances being heard. The company kept saying the same words.
By facility by seniority.
Some buildings got the the buyout some did not.
My building got the buyout but they ignored seniority and just went by which center got the buyout.
So we shall see.
I definitely got screwed.

Jobs in computers are soon to be a job not to have. My oldest son has worked for General Dynamics programming for about 10 years now and is the head of his dept making great money he tells me his job has nearly been taken over by AI. He's guessing maybe 2 years tops and he's out of a job. His roommate has his Masters degree in Computer science and can't find a job for his life.
I don't disagree entirely.
