If you’re talking about people who aren’t UPS employees I don’t know. I’ve never heard of any probably happened. If they were involved in an accident with a UPS vehicle.
You can negotiate with the insurance company as far as permanent injury, scaring or disability. Once you accept workman’s compensation, you give up certain legal avenues against UPS directly.

My guy just came back from comp. There was an incident with a dog. He wanted to sue the home owners/dog owners but his lawyer told him any money he got from a lawsuit he would have to pay back to the state workers comp board.
Depends on how long you want to be out. I personally knew a driver that was terrified of dogs, he got bit a few times. Never lost time, ER, rest of the day off. Average payout from home owners insurance was 1200.

Liability for what? No they do not carry liability insurance to cover representational issues. Many locals have a labor attorney.
What would the lawsuit be for? They’re still grievances that have yet to be heard and settled on this issue and not withstanding as I have shown before the duty for representation is an extremely high bar to prove negligence.

You certainly can, but just like representing yourself in the court of law, those that represent themselves have a fool for a client.
Work cop is a legal matter. That’s why UPS uses their lawyers. It would be a mistake for the injured employee not to do the same for themselves.
