What? Nothing picked up?
What? Nothing picked up?
I didn't get those number for some reason
.I only drove 476,000 miles
I thought the wind today was only blowing @ 18 mph , I was wrong it's 22 mph.
But we went out hauling, not a smart move.
The outboard engine kept stalling which caused all sorts of problems.
On the last trap , we ran into trouble.
I ended up jumping out of the boat to shove the boat off of the rocks.
My helper was left alone in the boat.
My boots were filled with seawater and I was soaked up to my waist.
Once the boat was freed, I made it along the rocky coast until I could find a spot to climb up.
Then it was along walk by road back to the Town Wharf, to meet up with the boat.
WE caught 14 lobster today, gave 3 to my sister and my helper took the rest.
We were beat and didn't want to haul up the keeper traps.
So everybody got fresh lobsters.
So far we have landed 269 lobsters, with 27 in the keepers.
With a good two weeks left, we think the total will exceed 300. ( a new record )

How could I forget, the row from my mooring back to the launching ramp was brutal.
That felt like the longest row of my life.
Into the wind the whole way.
I was exhausted, luckily my helper waited for me and did all the work of putting everything away.
I just took a pain killer because I know something will be hurting soon.
