Thankfully I don't have to fight traffic much. Mostly on fairly empty country roads.
A couple of days ago I ended up needing to drive in heavy traffic at night in a road construction area. I really don't miss driving like that.

Used to be able to run similar ish stuff on a Raspberry Pi with 512 mb of ram.
Running it on a spare laptop with 8 GB of memory now, and it spends half the time locked up.

Are you running Linux? 8 GB will probably choke Windows but Linux is a lot easier on resources.
