4:47 AM is a little early for morning greetings, retirees should only be awake if they have to piss. I'm lucky in that I only wake up once in the night about 5 AM for that.
So good afternoon and I hope that you are adjusting into retirement mode well. It's a great feeling to lose the stress from working and to start enjoying the fruits of three decades of your labor.

This really sucks, I used to be a Climbing Instructor and I don't understand how he just dropped all the way like that. "Friction is your friend" is what we taught, the rope has to go through your carabiner or rappelling device and you use your right hand to run the rope off your hip to control your speed. I can only guess he ran his rope through his device wrong and panicked. He was surely wearing gloves and didn't seem to have an emergency plan.
