Now I live where I have to pick them up, pack them in the truck, and take them to a leaf recycle place.

Mulch them in fool. Get some gator mulching blades and pulverize those suckers. Didn't Wally teach you this?
We had leaf recycling too in Jersey. The town picked up leaves in brown paper leaf bags and the county had a processing center.
You could buy leaf compost too. Five yards for around $100 delivered. Best stuff for the lawn ever. I was top dressing for many the seasons. It really changed the cation exchange capacity (CEC) for the better.

Methodists lost a lot of their members since the leadership went full woke. Many churches split off to become independent because of it.
