Why do the teamsters have such a hardon over these buyouts
I’m pretty sure that it has more to do with the just the money being offered.
Whatever the future plans are, is the problem with the union are trying to fight against.
Ultimately, I don’t think they’ll be successful in stopping this round of buyouts. However, it may come down to whoever’s left to fight for the future.

They don’t have shit to say about grievances backed up for months total abuse of the 9.5 language or many other contract violations. But something that could help a lot of folks they want to sue

The teamsters are our exclusive bargaining agent and the company is attempting to enter into an agreement with its employees without involving the teamsters. Not to mention if you simultaneously have 30,000 more people drawing from pension funds and 30,000 less people contributing how many of the funds will go belly up?
