Chevy’s are not without their own issues, but none of them have ever been as catastrophic as the fords I’ve owned.
I had 3 brand new GMC pickups. First one had a defect in the block and had to be replaced. Second
one at 30k miles had to have the valve guides replaced because it was burning so much oil. Both were
under warranty. The 3rd one had the ABS unit puke at 60k. Because it was electronic ($1200) part they
were able to get GM to cover it, but I had to pay Labor.... about $200. After that it was Mercury Grand
Marquis for the Union job. Never had a problem with any of those.... until you went to trade them in with
70k miles. They weren't worth shit because of all the taxi's and used cop cars.
