According to that letter, Carol cares about inconveniencing our families maybe they’ll get me off the clock at a decent time today so I can actually see them?

Crazy talk

Crazy talk

Well, dammit!

@jkloc

@jkloc

Are you calling @ovah and @gumby sniveling pussys?

Absolutely none of my brothers and sisters who thought they were signing up for something legitimate, and we’re fooled and misled by the company are pussies. The ones who are screaming now that the union is screwing them and they want out of the union that’s a different story.

I understand disappointment but solidarity is the key and the company is looking to destroy that one brick at a time.

And that’s that….

And that’s that….

Even if this letter isn’t true, it’s not far from what they have tried to do. They’ve tried to intimidate and harassed people and scare people and then pretend they’re nice by offering this buyout. And you better take it or else!!

Fuck them.

My BA is white.

He still wants a new Cadillac

The union fundamentally failed by not having unified language towards extra contractual bargaining across all locals.

I'm not blaming the current leadership. But they need to clean up the mess, and I can't think of a single faster way to go about destroying solidarity than attacking the members right now.

Disparate treatment is usually UPS's game. But because of the fractured nature of the contracts and supplements, now it gets to be the union's game too.

I'd be angry if I was in Central.

Absolutely no reason to blame the members, although some of the members are acting irrational.

You also have to remember the NLRB can file labor charges against these buyouts as well because it’s most likely considered direct dealing.

Even if the union didn’t want them to this is still most likely illegal.

Anyone that signed that current agreement would be obligated because of the way UPS wrote it to return the money. This is pure evil on the company part. They were well aware. There was a very strong chance. This was all going to happen and they wanted to cover their butt and get their money back.

Whether or not people would get their jobs back would depend on the legal proceedings and who knows how long any of that could take.

I agree there probably should’ve been better language on this, but if you would’ve asked me a year ago, if these buyouts would be possible I would’ve said no so it’s hard for me to blame the Union for not thinking of this would happen although that is their job. Currently, they’re doing what they can. All be it probably not explaining this as well as they should be able to
