I live in Griffin, GA. He was from here. Supposedly his family had his body dug up when it was buried out West and bought it back here. They have a local Doc Holiday Festival here.

A tragic figure, he embodied everything that was great about our southern culture, fearless, loyal to those he deemed worthy of it and a true gentleman, always gallant, erudite and well mannered. I’ve always been fascinated by his life, and have read books about him.
