The benefits are the primary advantage at this point.

The pay is decent, but I wouldn't say above the average for the effort that this career requires.

I got out earned by an ugly girl at an AT&T store this year.

Obviously my health insurance and pension credits are worth a lot over that, but she gets to leave at 5PM and doesn't put in near the effort I do.

UPS is actively trying to make this a market rate job by extracting more and more value out of its workers.

This AT&T girl?

If I had more shapely tits I'd be a millionaire right now.

A 25 or 30 year career at ups as a full-time driver is well over $3 million just in pay and benefits. And that doesn’t even count the pension you receive afterwards. That’s why Carol is working so hard to make sure no one wants to last that long anymore.

It’s not sustainable in their new, stock holder model of business. Neither is superlative service. Sad

I’d never leave the house

Time is definitely a commodity

We were never meant to be Fedex++.

Now it's just a race to the bottom, and Amazon will always win that one.

I’d never leave the house if I could suck my own dick.

🤔

I agree every new Center Manager I’ve ever had as a union steward, I sat with and told if they were fair with us and took care of my guys, especially on their eight hour days we would have a good working relationship. Respect our time, eight hour days are about the only way guys can make it to their important things like kids events.

15 year driver. Probably pushing 50.

Not just a young person problem at this point.

This place will push you to the limit

Settle down

@mechlift where are you at dog? You need to hurry up and give @21savage some advice he’s about to knock up a hub rat!

True

Yep, we are our own worst enemy most of the time.

I’ve seen guys with 15 plus years get fired for playing with COD money, covering up an accident and trying to handle it without the company finding out, leaving CODs without collecting the money too.
