I heard they aren't the same after the bankruptcy and new owners
All of them here closed down. They were pretty good.
One night after it snowed all day, got home about 9:30 and cracked a beer to shovel the driveway.
After admiring my work, the plow came by and filled the apron. Sat down for a few minutes, cracked
another beer before shoveling again. In 10 minutes it had froze solid. It was like going over a huge
speed bump for like a week getting into the driveway.
That would happen every time it snowed. One year they left a mountain 7 feet wide 5 feet high and 20 feet long in front of my drive. I’m out there chipping away at it, plow comes by, stops and yells out the window “are you a teamster?” He saw my hat with the logo. Fuck yeah I says. He cleared it out.
I’ve gotten help from other unions as well with other things over the years too. Pays to be a member.
