Dude it's fucking brutal. I've had to call 911 twice in less than a week because she fights her aids trying to get her into bed then they can't pick her up. It's time for a home I've had enough.
My next door neighbor got to be that way. His son was living with him trying to take care of him but the dementia finally got so bad he had to be put in a home. He wasn't violent but would try to wander off if not watched every minute.

My mom isn't demented, she had a stroke in 2019 and last Oct got put in the hospital then short term rehab for a wound on her foot that got infected.....used up all her 100 days of Medicare and I said it's time for an Assisted Living Facility and she said no I want to go home, so I said fine you can pay $2000 a week for aids, problem is now she's pissed off all the aids so no one wants to help her anymore.
Your wife says the same thing...she hopes this buyout makes you more attractive........asshole

The good homes aren't bad but too many of those places are for the people who can't afford better and the patient get almost none of the care they are supposed to get. Not abuse really. Just neglect. Push the call button and get ignored. Laying in soiled beds all day. Things like that.

One of my sisters worked as an aid in a home (after she got downsized from a state job) Most of the other girls working there are half her age and a lot of them have bad attitudes. One time she got scratched by a violent patient and her arm got infected.
The good homes aren't bad but too many of those places are for the people who can't afford better and the patient get almost none of the care they are supposed to get. Not abuse really. Just neglect. Push the call button and get ignored. Laying in soiled beds all day. Things like that.
It's not that bad here there are tons of laws so they don't get that bad...not the best but not neglected.
