Even worse headed to Gulf Shores Ala.
We went to Orange Beach last year, we used to go to Gulf Shores a lot a long time ago. One time we took the ferry across to Mobile. My brother was driving a new Tahoe at the time when Onstar first came out. He pushes the button and asked the operator where he was at. After about ten minutes, the operator apologized and said something was wrong. We were out in the middle of Mobile Bay.
Anywhere of the Gulf Coast is great. Warm water, white sand that your feet just sinks into, I think they are the best beaches I have ever been on. My favorite place down there to go is St. George Island off the coast of Appilachacola. Oyster capital of the world. Oyster City Brewery makes some great brews and several great restaurants. Not much on the island at all, just rental houses and condos. Half the island is a state park. No shopping malls, very laid back.
