I think financial literacy is a criminally underdeveloped skill in people. And not just young people.
The public school systems have failed so many.

I think the people that decided I should pay for others' college educations when I dropped out to get a job should be lined up against a wall and shot.

The problem is the predatory lending system that has convinced every parent and young person in existence that a 50-60K a year college education is "required" to live a good life. And then followed that up with easy money to borrow for the only time in their lives.
And then for good measure, add in the corporate retards that have decided to follow along with that, and only hire college graduates, instead of making their HR actually interview people and determine their aptitude for a given job the old fashioned way.
The problem is the predatory lending system that has convinced every parent and young person in existence that a 50-60K a year college education is "required" to live a good life. And then followed that up with easy money to borrow for the only time in their lives.

Too many people go to expensive colleges to get a worthless degree.
