At least he has the nuts to do it a lot of these people are crying online saying UPS owes them this money so they can start a new life lol. Some of them don’t even have more than four or five years here. I got no problem with those guys quitting. Good riddance.

People rarely ever quit this job back in the day.
Now this company is almost unbearable to work for.
On a side note.
The driver directly behind me in seniority pulled his application at thr last minute when they extended it.
Said a bigger buyout was coming this fall.
He wasn't happy when I sent him the lasted update saying there would be no more buyouts during this contract

I know a lot of people who work at crappy jobs. They hate for a lot less money for crappy, expensive health insurance and and have a very small 401(k) match.
Gotta get your head right if you’re gonna stay here a long time it’s always been that way. This stuff comes and goes.

I live in a fairly nice neighborhood. Some of those people make more money than I do. AlmostNone of them have had the job security, healthcare and guaranteed retirement I have.

Yep, that’s why I said there’s life after UPS. A lot of people found that out. I also know a lot of people who wished they had made different decision and didn’t realize how good they had it, there’s very few sure things in life. Putting your boots and browns on every day and doing your best at ups is one of those.

The last several years I noticed most of the new drivers look like they have never done anything athletic or even involved in sports.

I decided at early age, they were too fucking stupid to beat me. That’s why I got involved with the Union at an early age.
