I do in a way, I liked getting out of the house and staying busy. I miss my customers, I was on the same residential route my last 23 years. Most of my co-workers were good people, I enjoyed them. The guys I retired with only meet for lunch about once a year, Unfortunately it seems now we see each other more at funerals. The job was originally perfect for me, I was pretty introverted when I started. I never had to worry about money or security like most people do, I knew my money would be in the bank every Friday morning. I eventually learned to tune out the stupid crap the company comes up with. There isn't any reason to get upset over stupid shit you have no control over. Eventually I just looked at my job as making more money fixing management's mistakes. I took every second of my lunch hour. The company doesn't give a crap about you, just do a decent job and cash those checks. I made good money over the years, I know I'm better off than most people.

I think the biggest thing is where you live. Like I'm in the DC suburbs....imagine the guys that work in NYC. They have to live somewhere in New Jersey and probably poor as hell. The guys in Philly... Etc... I feel for them.

There is a lot of truth in that. I would hate to have to spend a million bucks for a small house in California or another place with a high cost of living. I'd hate to have to work where it snows half the year too. Where I'm at the weather is decent most of the year and the cost of living isn't too bad.
