The Irmaa surcharge you can't avoid. Just make sure you budget for the extra monthly hit, especially if you deferred taking social security.

I have never owned a VW. I owned all Chevys from when I was 16 until 60. I bought my Tuscaloosa AL-built Mercedes eight years ago for my 60th birthday. It's been a great car, just routine maintenance that I do myself. It is a C-3004matic, I'm starting to get car fever again. I'm looking at the slightly larger E-series.
