I decide to go out on the boat early today to beat some of the heat only worked out if I was facing the wind.Otherwise, it was brutal.The lobster traps were not pulled for 3 days { 3 day set } and we hit another record breaking day.20 lobsters out of 10 traps.Gave 8 to my helper and 8 more to an old friend { retired lobsterman }, we still have 20 in the keepers. This is a record breaking year, I have never caught over 100 in eight weeks.
TLDR
Out here, much of the labor is Mexican. I pay them well, my landscaper is very reasonable, but I always tip him and made sure he knows I’m a retired teamster that appreciates a fair wage for a fair days pay. Not kidding. The guy is worth it.
