No contract. It's not a union shop, just a small company.
So non union workers are striking?
Good luck with that.

Damn son.
They're digging up my street today, which was only repaved 5-6 years ago.
In the process, they took out my lawn sprinklers, so thats good.

You might have to work the rest of your vacation...
I wrote this on the back door on my last day.
And FU Gumby a second time.
Yesterday I sold my car to a guy I shared my career with, we both thought it was funny how our jobs mirrored each other. He started the Midnight Sort/Purple Belt at the now closed Atlanta Hub two days before I did. His last day was exactly 45 years later, neither of us worked one day more than that. We both retired in October in the middle of the week before Peak Season, screw that crap. We used to go out in the parking lot and fire up a joint after work when we were seventeen years old. That's when I learned that black guys hid their weed in their trunk while us honkies just left one rolled up in our ash trays.

I think they want to get a union in but that will be hard to do with such a small numbers of employees.
I wonder what the area wage rate is for that position? Apparently high turnover prevails.
