I had to do it to get my Social Security card. It even scanned my face. It was a little unnerving.

I heard they started it in like the middle of 2025 by the time I got mine.
I don’t even know why I needed one. My wife said she couldn’t find mine that I needed to go online and get a new one I haven’t ever had to show it. I’ve had the same job for 35 years lol.
Yep, it was wild. It used my camera on my phone to take a digital rendering of my face all digitized. Next level, Skyenet crap.
I’m probably on a list somewhere now!

I got my Social Security card for my drivers license at 16 and never needed it again until recently. I don't think I even needed to show it to UPS back when they used SSN as employee numbers.
