They were pretty proud of that NASCAR sponsorship. We got all kinds of free swag for a couple years.
I got asked to drive the trophy in the Flame Car around the Atlanta track one year, but I turned it down. I'm not a NASCAR fan, my Center delivered the racetrack. Now I live about eight miles away from it, sometimes I can hear the races from here.

There were a few flame cars I was told. Had one come in with flames and another the mechanics added them on a brand new car. We had the flame cars in for three events a year for a few years. @gumby (King Flamer) would look fabulous in one.

There were/are several flame cars. I tried to borrow one for a Touch-A-Truck event one time but the asshole automotive manager had it moved to my building too late. I took a new P-800 instead. I wanted to run EAMs in one one time but they wouldn't let us deliver out of it.

And yeah, the flame tracks were just for show. I only saw them parked on the lot for pictures.
