There was a beer someone on route had given the driver in the cooler. Supe took the driver for a fit for duty test to see if they were drinking on the job. They were not, but they did test positive for THC. Did not get their job back.
Unfortunate circumstances but those are the risks you take when you smoke weed as a UPS driver. Having a beer in the car can be cause for a fit for duty but if you can pass one I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Wouldn’t that have just been a breathalyzer test? How did they justify a full blown drug screening? Don’t they need at least two managers trained in identifying impaired drivers?

Art 35 is like 50 pages and I am no expert on it but afaik a fit for duty is a fit for duty it's not different things depending on the situation.
