Seriously im not counting on anything but recently I talked to the president of my local.

Many grievances was filed over this issue

As he listened to all of the other grievances being heard. The company kept saying the same words.

By facility by seniority.

Some buildings got the the buyout some did not.

My building got the buyout but they ignored seniority and just went by which center got the buyout.

So we shall see.

I definitely got screwed.

Bastard

As much a chance of getting struck by lightning. They're going to tell you "why yes you'd have won this grievance and your buyout money......if you didn't already retire".
LOL

Nope I was still an active employee when it was filed.

Whatever happens happens.

Now please please go fuck yourself

The union definitely screwed up the buyout. They need to answer for lesser seniority people getting the buyout.

I’ll be expecting your aplogy soon. I think that’s step #4

That’s 5. 4 is the moral inventory.

I don't disagree entirely.

The era of computer science being a free meal ticket is over.

The next two years of my life will determine what my life looks like for the next 50.

Male prostitute?

Does leaving a job mean that one's employer is no longer responsible for its past aggrievements?

Ya, I did 50k to Vanguard, but I haven't done anything with it yet.. like designated where it should go.

New England deflated balls?

Vanguard Cash Plus pays decent interest while you are still trying to decide what to do with that money.

The money sweep account actually pays a little bit more.

When I retired I moved every ti the stable value so I know exactly how much I had.

No hurry.

Bit if you want to max out your 401k this year.

You can put in $35,750.

The money market pays a little bit more bit had a 3k minimum.

I used the cash plus accounts to replace some of the savings accounts I had at the bank..

One bank was paying me ,10% and the other was paying me .20%

Fuck that.

I get nirs interest in one month than I would get in a year and a half

Its definitely not going to make me rich bit ill.take every penny I can.

Especially right now.

Is your money in the brokerage account automatically swept into that money market fund? I'm not certain but I think the number it cites is the historical average for the past several years but currently is only paying about half that.

Its almost the same maybe a .01 difference.

Of you leave that money in the brokerage you dont have a minimum amount.

Vanguard has come a long way. Much easier for the small investors to get in. You can even biy a fractional shave of an ETF.

Back in the day you need at least 3k to biy a mutual fund.

Now you can biy a fractional share if you wish. The market has went up so much that one share of the VOO is over $700

Im very happy with my Vanguard account.

I can biut whatever I want with noo sales charges.

I diversified my S&P a little bit with 2 other ETFs

Investors RSP an equal weight fund. Every stock is only .20 of the S&P

But its a little more expensive. .20 instead of .03

I also have some some in DSPY. it isn't an equal weight but its a little less concentrated than the VOO

Its expense ratio is .18.

Still in the market but not all of eggs in one basket.
