Some of the newer developments drain better than the older ones. Lots of new developments going and flooding out older ones. Out where I’m at the codes changed over the years requiring more fill be put in to raise the pads so fuck the older houses that have lower foundations. I’m lucky my lot was pretty high to begin with. My pond is overflowing and one low spot has water, but it gets like that when it over rains. This was 2012 during a tropical storm. That’s the road in front of my house.

We stayed dry. I got to say we didn't even think of flooding when we bought. I do remember the flood zone being low risk.
