I made this beer about twelve years ago. Still has carbonation, taste is a little off. More trouble to make than just buying it was the lesson I got out of it.

I made my own beer for a while. Kind of fun as a hobby and you can experiment making different beers but too much work after a while.
Also you need to ferment in cool temperatures to get good lagers or even lager yeasts turn out like ales.
