I wouldn’t call it mind-boggling. Again every year we pick vacations the same way.
Is it mind-boggling that a junior employee who is a package car driver might get a preferred vacation week and a feeder driver in a different job area does not get that week?
What’s more mind-boggling is that nobody is concerned that the company didn’t offer this to all full-time employees.
Not once have you bothered to mention that.
As far as the hiring goes, we had four people approved in our building of about 370 package car drivers. They’re all leaving Friday.
The company has already agreed to hire seven people from part-time ranksto replace them and they start Monday.
I would rather the company have offered this to employees with only 25 to 30+ years of seniority, but nobody called my phone to ask my opinion. Doesn’t make it illegal or non-contractual.

They'll figure that out once they've hit top rate. Most of those execs are probably planning on being retired by then.

Yep, they are desperate to hire some people in progression. We have only a handful currently and they cannot staff Saturdays.can’t even get volunteers anymore lol
