No Tax on Overtime
Didn't even get my W2 yet.
They are apparently available online.
I still have many other documents I need before I can file.
And the IRS isn't accepting tax returns until the 26th.
I'm hoping the W2 makes it easy by separating OT pay.

Pretty sure OT has never been separated out on W2's but because of this new tax law, hopefully they've done this.

Postal employees are getting a separate statement in the mail that shows their qualified overtime. Maybe UPS will do something similar.
And some Fedexers have received a letter saying they don't qualify for the OT tax credit.
I'm hearing the same thing, that UPS drivers are NOT eligible either.
This stupid technicality looks like it was overlooked when writing up the bill. This is going to piss off millions of people. Trump may not even be aware as his intention was for everyone's overtime. I'm certainly going to be furious. Had done the math and was counting on it.

You really think Trump was thinking about what is FSLA overtime and what is not? When he made the proposal he was like, I'm going to screw all those truck drivers that voted for me!! Works like this: He made the proposals asking for no tax on OT and tips. Rightfully didn't realize all these weird classifications. The President doesn't draft the legislation. The lawmakers who did draft the bill clearly didn't know this either. The majority of these jobs are men who support the administration. They wouldn't set out to purposely screw them while leaving OT done by Trump haters eligible.
