No Tax on Overtime

I thought it was my W2.
I just opened it up

Unlike you lazy quitters, some of us are actually working.
Now go rake your AARO card to McDonald's and get 10 cents knocked off your coffee

And after that
Go fuck yourself

I'm just curious to see qualified OT amount. Weird the online portal through UPSers isn't showing anything.

From what I've seen Insiders have Qualified OT listed in Box 14 but drivers do not. Why? I have no idea.

Maybe this is why?

Maybe because they make more than the average worker, idiot?

The phase out amount is $150,000 AGI single or $300,000 AGI joint.

And that still wouldn't explain why UPS would list it on some people's W2s and not others. UPS does not know what my AGI is.

Then you don’t need it. Like I said, they make more than the average person. They’re still gonna get more back those numbers. What did the Biden administration give us?
There’s only about a million teamsters in America, how many at UPS? The vast majority of Americans will benefit.

What are you talking about?

My man. A poster asked why qualified OT wasn't listed on his W2. I found him a possible answer. That's it.

You don't need to start ranting about Joe Biden. Can you give it a rest for 5 minutes?

Feel free to post your theory as to why UPS would put qualified OT on some of our W2s but not others?

According to UPS in 1995 and a Judge in West Virginia UPS drivers are exempt from the FLSA. And if that's accurate it sounds like we aren't eligible. But ask your tax guy. Claim the max amount and see if the IRS rejects it or decides to audit you down the road idk and IDC. Just trying to share information.

Maybe that ruling was overturned? But id imagine there is a reason why some of us have qualified OT listed and some of us don't.

Also Employers aren't required to list Qualified OT on W2s to the 2026 Tax year. So maybe UPS just decided to list it for some employees and not all. Or they just screwed it up. An explanation from UPS/Dayforce could help clear up some confusion.

So, do Dems undo the evil Trump tax break on overtime the second they take back power?

This is some good information you gave, and it made everything about as clear as mud.

Not your fault but just pointing that out lol. I’ll just give it to my accountant and let him figure it out.

If I’m not mistaken, it expires on its own

Lol, I can hear the Dem talking heads on TV now: "Those Republicans are raising taxes on working Americans"!

Not the tax cuts, just no tax on overtime, tips and SS. They expire in 28. We will see who allows that…

I say cut it all out, go to a flat tax.
