That’s a good point. I think we disagree on this issue but that’s where I wonder if healthcare is meant to exist in a capitalist society. Capitalism I think is the best form of system I know of, but it also is meant to maximize profits and I’m not sure if that’s a good mix for health care
for the scientists, it’s interesting how you can view it through different lenses. The amount of animals that have suffered from scientific testing, and when you look in to it it’s like 95% don’t even pass and are suitable for humans. I’m sure they have good intentions, but they’re also undeniably causing a lot of suffering in this world.
One of the best things the Trump administration has done that doesn’t get a lot of attention is severely slowed down animal testing for scientific studies, I give him a ton of credit for that and honestly it’s one of the things I would strongly consider voting for him over if not for other areas of his I don’t agree with

but I know what you’re saying, and as much as I would really enjoy for rapists to be test subjects, again, as you said, humans are corrupt and greedy and undoubtedly innocent people would be swept up in it
thats one thing I’m very hopeful about with AI, is scientific breakthroughs without animal testing. But you and @badideaguy keep breaking down my hopes whenever I get excited about AI lol. A man can dream though
